I know this song is credited to Ewan, and I'm disputing that in any way but an Irish ballad singer once told me that the Ewan version of Schooldays Over was actually based upon, or "borrowed" from, an old Welsh mining song. If anyone knows anything about that, please let me know. The name Dai is, according to some, an old Welsh name. Not that that would be enough to go on! Cheers!
