I had known the Pomeroys as performers and good friends in Australia and touring in the UK.

I was fortunately able to see Alan some days before he died, when he was in discomfort, but able to receive visitors although not speak. I was able to tell him how much I had enjoyed my times with him, including when the Pomeroys were staying at my home and filling it with life and laughter.

I also linked in to the live stream of the celebration of his life yesterday, held in Townsville. I hope that a video shown in it may be made available to those who knew them. I won't spoil it with description in that hope, but it epitomises how they were together.

Judy and Kathy looked after him with such devotion and cheerfulness, and deserve our appreciation and ongoing love.
