We drank Tizer in the 1950s and it was much nicer than it is nowadays, but I don't know when Coca-Cola appeared. It was certainly around in the early 1960s, along with Pepsi, and people doing blind tastings to see if they could tell the difference - oh, and Cuba Libres (aka rum 'n' coke).
