The ultra violet light activated resins (glue) you can buy were first used in dentistry and then glasses repair but now I found it can fix a string too close to frets in ten seconds. Just a tiny bit of the resin spread on the lower bridge where the string rests and then cured with included uv light did the trick for me. It is invisible but looks green under UV light.
