Yes, I will be a tourist, but in many places there are clubs or sessions where locals go, and ones for tourists that locals tend to avoid. The sort of thing I had in mind was a response along the lines "Sundays there is very little happening, but on Monday's XYZ is always worth trying." Nine months ahead is certainly too soon for specific events, but not regular sessions.

My personal tastes tend towards the involved-but-maybe-a-bit-unpolished rather than polished-but-so-regular-there-is-no-heart=in-it. Shows put on for tourists tend to the latter, I find. And of course tourist shows are not usually too keen on your doing a slot ...

On the subject of being too soon, though: I have some dates in 2020 for San Francisco, Sydney and Brisbane … *smile*
