Hi, Mom! We got a phone call this morning from Mercedes-Benz congratulating us on the purchase of our new car! We thanked them for the phone call and then explained that we don't have a new car of any kind, much less a Mercedes.

Turned out that our son had put his mom's phone number on the paperwork for the Mercedes he had just bought for his wife. (You know... Nobody knows anyone's phone number anymore... Tapped the wrong contact name...)

Too bad. We were hoping the car might still be in the back of Santa's sleigh and that he was just running late.
