I have known Amos for almost 20 years now, through this Forum, in person, and by being a guest of his and Daly's at his home in Hillsborough. There's almost nobody I'd prefer to share a joke, a beer or a song with. He hasn't been in the best health over the last year, but when I saw him in October, he was undaunted and full of energy and joy despite the challenges. I would put money on him pulling through this episode. Not being able to articulate has got to be pissing him off, since he's one of the most articulate people I know. That's why I think he'll get through this, just to be able to recount the experience in vivid detail afterwards.
