Maybe you don’t read carefully, or maybe you’re the kind of person who thinks the difference between “some bad company” and “shun bad company” is not important, or maybe you’re not interested in knowing which of several versions is the oldest, or which one was attested by an authority like John Lomax – but I’m interested in those details, and I figure I’m not the only one.
