For info : there are two folk clubs, of which I have knowledge, within a reasonable cruising distance of Aqueduct Marina, which are accessible by boat. There is Lymm Folk Club just a couple of hundred yards from the main moorings in Lymm (Bridgewater Canal) and Bollington Folk Club a similar distance from the aqueduct in Bollington (Macclesfield Canal).
I run the Pyramid Folk Hub website which is a local folk guide and also the Songs of the Inland Waterways website which aims to collect songs about the UK canal system in one place. You may find these of interest.
