I have seen Amazon prices go up because I didn't buy the first time. I didn't buy the second. Their algorithms should learn that some buyers get annoyed when they are taken for a mug.

If the price is controlled by the buyers willingness to buy now, I can wait.

EBay sometimes have a "Make an Offer" button. Tried it once, didn't work. I wasn't greedy, tried about 5% off.
