Who censors the censors?

Short Sighted question beloved of Short Sighted people.


In the US they have the Supreme Court, In the UK we have the House of Lords. An acceptable model on which to base a system IMNSHO. Nothing is impossible, it just takes money.

And laws in any jurisprudence mostly act retrospectively. But work by threat of retribution. Thus limiting the instances of transgression and workload thereto.

There was a program on BBC4 the Cleaners: the internet's dirtiest secrets - a firm in the Philippines who employ censors, working for Goggle. They have to reach a target of 25,000 images per shift. There are burn-outs and casualties. Censorship has many consequences, and not all can be addressed with fatuous questions.
