I gave up watching Pointless when I realised that there probably had not been any need for research at all. The producers could just give the prize to whoever they thought to be the 'best' looking candidates. You know how, in so called reality TV, producers push the candidates in ways to produce the 'best' program? Nothing to do with reality but everything to do with cooking the books.
