If your interests stretches back that far, our Clare collection includes a number of songs dating back to the Land Wars (particularly the cattle-rustling protests)and a number of locally made songs on the Irish war of Independence (Clare County Library Carroll Mackenzie Collection; in my opinion, the local songs are far more Representative of the vents than the Patriotic creations, such as 'Patriot Game.
I assume you are aware of Terry Moylan's magnificent doorstep of a collection , 'The Indignant Muse' - everything you wanted to know about the Irish fight for independence but were afraid to ask
