I have an old dog who I thought might be losing her appetite, but she's a crafty old pooch. I have her on a senior food that she liked for a while, then she was on some medication that might have made it taste odd, so she stopped eating it as willingly. I started sprinkling brewers yeast over the dog food and it worked for a while, but she's not happy with it and the yeast isn't enough to coax her to eat. Yesterday I mixed some of the younger dog's food in with hers (this is what she used to eat also). The old rascal today has picked up a mouthful of mixed food from the bowl, spit it on the ground, and eats the pieces of the other dog's food that she prefers and leaves the rest.

I surrender. She's old, and her arthritis would benefit from the senior food, but I'll give her the one she wants.
