Amazon Studios is the party adapting the "Wheel of Time" series for film, and for broadcast.

Shooting is planned this autumn somewhere in continental Europe,
and Prague and Budapest have been mentioned.

Jordan's widow, Harriet MacDougal (spelling?),
has consulting producer credits;
there is already a showrunner, a director,
and a team of five executive producers.

With an initial emphasis on the character of Moiraine,
the latest descriptions have given rise
to educated guesses amongs those familiar with the Jordan books
that the prequel "New Spring" will be
the jumping-off point for the film version.

Anyone else heard about this?
