The credits also list Don Pedi, a fantastic mountain dulcimer player who plays fiddle tunes up to speed and has a right hand that gets the rhythm of the fiddle bow, and Sheila Adams a wonderful ballad singer and story teller from the mountains of North Carolina. Would be worth the price of admission seeing them on the big screen.

Does anyone know if this film is based in any way on Dorothy Scarborough's book "Songcatcher in the Southern Mountains"?
