The suspension of disbelief is an interesting one, Donuel. I have no problem as long as they keep the real and the fantasy consistent in themselves - usually by being completely real or completely fantasy: Potter being one of the best examples of both side by side.

So I have no problem with a flying, flame breathing dragon like Smaug.
But in a recent film I saw, the people built a mechanical dragon.   Because they started in the real world, I couldn't help thinking about how those wings provided enough lift, where the fuel came from for the fiery breath and so on. Keep it fantasy and all will be fairly well …

But please don't decide to call a film Thor: Ragnarok and expect people who have loved the story of Ragnorok and Fenris and Jörmungandr and the rest since childhood to be happy unless you get it all spot on. Including how they all die. Even at 7 I appreciated that a mythology in which all the (main) gods die is something out of the ordinary.

One of the franchise I haven't watched for that very reason.
