I too was ground staff. I was a radio and radar ground to air technician.

I was awarded a medal......yes.... I was first in the Naafi Queue

for most weeks.....lol

Was sent out to Suez in 1956 crisis. But by the time we got there the crisis was over. Never saw any action.
