Thread Name: Lyr Add: Union Jack on Scottish goods (McLean)
Subject: Lyr Add: Union Jack on Scottish goods
Matt Hancock, the ex contender for the leader of the Tory party and next Prime Minister of the U.K., said his greatest achievement when he was Culture Secretary was to flood the Edinburgh Festival with Union Jack flags. This was an attempt to make Scots British rather that Scottish. Even Bells whisky and Haggis had Union Jack labels! Very childish you might reasonably think but this the level the Unionist Establishment has sunk to in their fear of Scottish Independence.
There has been a fight back by banning Scottish goods which bear the Union Jack hence the following parody of Ray Charles' "Hit the Road, Jack".

Ray Charles 'Hit the road, jack'

Put the Jack, back,
And don't you buy more, no more, no more
Put the Jack back and don't you buy more, no more,..

Oh Momma, oh Momma you're off to the shops,
To buy some steak and a couple o chops,
And if you see that jack,
You know you're gonna put them back.

Chorus: Put the Jack, back ....

Keep your eye on the label, keep your eye on the tag
Look for the sign of the Union flag.
No red and white and blue,
I know what I'm gonna do.

Chorus: Put the Jack, back.....

Oh Momma, oh Momma in your shopping bag,
There ain't no room for the Union Flag.
Just say "No, John Bull,
The Union Jack ain't cool"

Chorus: Put the Jack, back ......
