Perhaps more Olivia Newton-John than Joan Baez at this time, but I am guessing not much of a living to be made on the Oz folk circuit alone... we should probably give credit to ABC Television for giving acoustic/folk artists a platform beyond the "folk boom" years, under the guise of contemporary entertainment.
