Seeger and Macoll did a version of The Trooper Cut Down In His Prime that has a slightly different melody. Perhaps with the close familiarity of melodies to The Streets of Laredo and The Trooper Cut Down In His Prime Peggy and Ewan had the melody they used in The Trooper do double duty.
