The Folklore Society of Greater Washington's annual Getaway weekend is getting close! This year's weekend of singing and picking and workshops and jam sessions and schmoozing will be held Friday evening October 4 through Monday morning October 7, at the West River Conference Center on an inlet of the Chesapeake Bay. If you've been to the Getaway before, you know what a good time it is. If you've never been, now is the time! You'll love it! The site is beautiful, the people are welcoming, and the music is wonderful.
