You think you've got problems? Try having the same name as a notorious diarist from a couple of centuries ago! Someone actually asked me recently whether I'd chosen my name to be like the famous Anne Lister, and I had to explain, as calmly as I could, that I had in fact had this name all my life and I was fairly sure my parents had never heard of my namesake. Oddly, however, we share a birthdate (although not, of course, the same year).
