Yes, well, of course the antiseptic Dr Lister is why when I was teaching I was nicknamed Mouthwash ... but that is yet another Lister who is unrelated to me. I am, myself, also Dr Lister these days (actually, legally, Dr Purbrick, as that's my married and non-stage name).
