You know what else I am reminded of?

Thomas Paine, he who wrote
"These are the times that try men's souls..."
during the American War of Independence.

William Cobbett decided to appropriate Paine's remains from the former Colonies
and bring them back to Great Britain.

And now nobody knows where said remains are,
because Cobbett managed to literally ship them across the ocean
and then somehow misplace them ...
