PLAYLIST FOR VIC SMITH'S FOLK MUSIC PROGRAMME ON ROCKET FM ON THURSDAY 31st OCTOBER 7-9pm AND REPEATED ON SATURDAY 2nd NOVEMBER 9-11am
(Rocket FM 87.8 FM amd streaming live from http://rocketfm.org/listen-live/)

What have I got for you today? Well. I have three recorded interviews spiced with album tracks. Before the news I will be talking to that excellent fiddle player, Ben Paley and playing tracks from his brand new album and chatting also about his famed father, one of the iconic figures of the folk scene on both sides of the Atlantic then after the news, the guests will be Iain Allen about the album that he has just brought out of his father's band, The Clutha as well as excerpts from a much longer interview that I conducted with another really significant figure on the folk scene, Sandra Kerr.
For the rest of the time it will be tracks from albums that have been released since the last time that Rocket FM was on the air and the first two will be from musicians with strong local connections
