Hi, Mom!

We finally got some rain and our shiitake logs expressed their pleasure by putting forth an abundance of delicious mushrooms.

In their honor, I have composed this ditty, to the tune of "We're In the Money".

We got shiitake, we got shiitake,
We got delicious fungi growin' outta logs,
We got shiitake, that ain't bull hockey,
We just might turn ourselves into shiitake hogs.

You can hear those 'shrooms a sizzlin' in the fryin' pan
Mix 'em in an omelet or a stir fry, man oh man!

We got shiitake, we got shiitake,
We'll even give a few leftovers to the dogs!
