The voters in California voted for year-round Daylight Savings Time, but I don't know if I'll ever see year-round DST in my lifetime. Enabling legislation has to pass the State Legislature, and then the Federal Government has the final say.
You may be aware that the orange-haired guy in the Federal Government, doesn't happen to like California.
