By contrast a comprehensive took children of mixed ability.The documentary linked suggests something was lost during the change to comprehensive education. This has resulted in the political class again being dominated by those that have received a fee paying education.
This is not a healthy trend in a democracy. Our rulers are turning into a self perpetuating elite.
