Some years ago I came up with what I thought was a brilliant idea. Each night, starting Monday, we would put the clocks forward 10 minutes. After all, nobody would miss ten minutes sleep, would they? Then after six nights the clocks would be an hour ahead, so on Sunday night we'd put the clocks back an hour and we'd all have an extra hour in bed on Monday morning. This would happen every week.

I cannot think why I didn't get a peerage and a Nobel Prize for such a wonderful idea.
