let's change the date of thanksgiving. it is a horrid mess with the weather, bomb cyclones etc... to mid october which it might have been originally. i personally do not enjoy thanksgiving so would be fine with not having it, but that is just me. tie it in with canadian thanksgiving, or move to columbus/NA day, or move close to halloween but no overlap so children can be home for halloween. much easier for elderly to travel. still waits in airports etc. but getting to airports and destination much easier. better all the way around. and we would not have to hear people complaining that christmas decorations are up too early. have a true harvest festival. i think everyone would be happier and less stressed out with holidays too close together, not that everyone does both.
