keeping a bit of distance between halloween and thanksgiving would be for the sake of children traveling to visit grandparents etc. and get them home for the holiday at home. i would love to see thanksgiving almost evaporate myself but i have never liked it. to me the food is like a school lunch..ok but not worth taking a bus in the pouring rain too..or three buses on a holiday schedule. another reason to move it to october..the sheer dreariness of the weather for those taking public transportation...just even local. i am so glad it is almost over for this year. i went to the beach and went to mcdonald's for breakfast and that is more than enough.
