This is re-iteration, nothing remotely new

who rarely checks in and thus misses updates.

Summary:
when the weather was still warm,
the death of Gnu's mother took place this year
(he has been her carer for several years
during her final illness).

The funeral for Gnu's mother seems to have occurred
very close in time to
the injury, reportedly from a fall,
that put Gnu in hospital for several weeks.

Stilly River Sage reported that
Gnu had to order new eyeglasses.

Eventually Gnu came home from the hospital.
The word wheelchair has been mentioned.
