Phil and I played together in a campus band called the "Good Year Blimp" at Glen and Ann's and other venues. The name of the group came about in the 602 Club as he was arguing and breaking up with his girl friend whose parting words were: "You're so fat you should start a band and call it the Good Year Blimp". He looked across the table at me and said: That's a good idea." Before we left the bar we had a bass player, a keyboard man, and a drummer. He also did the inlays on my 12 string which I bought new in 1963 and still play today.
