I once put together a radio program of 12 songs, the first mentioning January, the second, February, and so on. I'm 10,000 miles away from my script for the program, but a few days from now when I'm back home I may remember to look for it. I think for May I played Streets of Forbes, an Australian bushranger ballad, which has the stanza,

Ben went to Goobang creek, where upon the 5th of May,
The troopers filled him full of lead, as in his sleep he lay,
They wrapped him in a blanket, and they rolled him like a swag,
They lead him through the streets of Forbes,
To show what a prize they had!
