Thread Name: New FREE music notation software
Subject: RE: New FREE music notation software
I encourage anybody who is really committed to music to have a music-editing program. There is a wealth of music on the Internet, and with a program you can download it, edit it, hear it and print it.

I have enjoyed many great playing sessions with pals because of the music I have prepared for the group using music software. For example, many Renaissance dances in F have become more enjoyable in G.

Sometimes I hear a unique piece of music on YouTube and I transcribe it into sheet music. Sometimes it's not easy, but I get hooked. I think it's rather like playing golf - why do we drive ourselves to conquer it?

This Dorico could be a good place to begin. Thanks.
