Surely honourable patriotic civil servants have a duty to question & resist
any government's intentions to impose the beginnings of a totalitarian regime
on our nation...???
That's out job, in five year's time.

They are expected to do as they are asked, after pointing-out the legality/practicality/consequences thereof. But it behooves the ministers to be considerate. Priti Patel was described by her colleagues, in her defence fer gawd's sake, as robust. Code words for something much more than assertive. She is an ex-lobbyist for tobacco & alcohol. Er... pushy sans morals also fits.

Philip Rutnam has been critical in defence of his staff. Part of his job, I submit.

Roll on the employment tribunal, and his memoirs.

Don't the bastards in power realise they are farting about with something that could be done at any time, the fucking climate is fucking us NOW. History will judge, and they are judging us now - those school kids!
