i must know well over a hundred tunes and i know the names of of 99 per cent, partly because i keep a book with a list and i practise them all regularly to keep them in the head, and becaus i enjoy playing them all occasionally i might forget a turn of a tune and this is where sties like the session are useful for refreshing the memory
