I have never had any real interest in the Royal Family - neither enough to bother to watch this speech - though I did read the text later - nor to be one of those that demands the Royal Family be disbanded.

For me, they are truly irrelevant: neither good, nor bad.

Having said that, I agree The Sandman at 03:05 AM: if it gives consolation to some, i cannot see the harm in it.
