I use a Timex Marathon Indiglo as a work watch because I also like that feature but it's lasted about ten years now without fading, maybe because it spends most of it's time in a drawer. I have a Seiko as an everyday watch with an illuminated dial which is unreadable in low light and always has been. IOW, no help here but I'm interested in this subject.
