Not in the eyes of many in the GOP, given the state of the economy (which was basically following the same arc as the last few years of the Obama administration) they thought they had good prospects in the coming election (and winning is the only consideration for them) until a couple of months ago when it became apparent that they chose a corrupt, cowardly ninny for a messiah.
