Another mustering song with the same tune, but a different story, occurs twice in the Hurd collection under different titles. The second of these versions called Ole Massa has a printed note on it "Supplied by W.M.D. Nive Downs" who, according to a pen note on the cutting, was W. M. Dalgeish.   
The first version is the better of the two, and I have used it here.
