I do love how Skarpi opened this thread in the first place:

it was several Aprils ago,
and the winter in Iceland was over,
so Skarpi declared it the first day of summer.

Fast forward to
the first year of the global coronavirus pandemic.
I know, you want the first year to be the last year of the pandemic,
but face facts -- this thing won't be over and done with in a year.

In the meantime,
in the Northern hemisphere,
schools are closed and the weather is turning warm,
and if it isn't summer,
sometimes it certainly seem as if it is summer.
