The graded series were published as part of the examination process by the early folk dancers. Taking the dances in Sharp's Country Dance Books, and grading them in terms of complexity. I assume the person you refer to was the owner if the book, with their name inside the book? I'd be interested in having the book if you want to pass it on please. Thanks.
