I have a number of friends in Houston TX where I used to spend time each year (former colleagues at my employer‘s Houston office), every one is a Republican, and they are amongst the friendliest, most kind and hospitable people I know - I’ve had some great times in their company, and our political differences have never been an issue on either side.
