Subject: RE: Tune Add: Float
Thanks for the vote of confidence Starship. However, like a lot of people of my age who have dabbled in folk related music for a long time, I am not greatly proficient on any instrument but try to make the best of some of the skills I've acquired over time.

Nothing about this piece of music requires any great technical skill. The guitar parts use only three basic chords and my very rudimentary picking style. Indeed, my use of the capo makes the chords even easier. The mandolin and the octave mandolin are just different sizes of the same instrument, so if you can knock a tune out of one it will be the same on the other except a bit bigger or smaller. I didn't use my fiddle on this because it would be beyond my ability at the moment because or all the double stops (which are relatively easy on the mandolin).

I can only play things that have strings on and really admire people who can switch between eg keyboards, bellowed instruments, blown instruments etc.

The main point is to play, enjoy and make the best noise you can, given what you've got and try to make some progress over time. Thank you and Cheers - Peter
