If you rub a bar of soap across the inside of your glasses, using the edge of a bar to draw a squiggly line on the lenses, for example, then use a cleaning cloth to spread it so it doesn't snow any more but it is distributed all around the inside of the lens, it does work. When I remember I do that. I am careful because I have various coatings that came on my lenses.
