In the US you may be behind the curve, the UK recorded COVID deaths are 42,600 which represents .00063% of the populous.
US figures are 119,898 and .00036%
Always assuming either figure is truly representative.

Excess deaths is a more reliable figure. And NY Times world graphs - Excess Deaths would indicate the UK is doing much worse, even if we started earlier IMNSHO.
US excess deaths figure represents 107,000 missing COVID deaths they say, but they don't show a US graph so you can't see if it has peaked.
Of the other countries: Brazil, Peru, Chile & Russia haven't peaked. Most European countries listed have.

UK excess deaths 63,000 mean 50% more than the reported COVID figure. US equivalent is +90%.
