I'm surprised I didn't realize more of Service's poems had been turned to songs. I found a copy of Service's book Ballads of a Cheechako (I can't remember how I got it, but I read it only recently) and was surprised more weren't turned into songs. Service wrote poems in a very structured, metered style that makes implementation to song easier than a lot of modern poetic works.
