I saw Peter Green in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers several times, and PG's Fleetwood Mac at Windsor Festival - their debut, and several times around London. First time I saw him with Mayall, he played just like Clapton's blues phrasing, but 6 months later had changed totally to his own style, which nobody has equalled since. I came close, I was told, and more recently Aynsley Lister is very good.
